This week we were able to meet our Local MP Fleur Anderson. She told us about the environment and how important it is and how we can improve it. She spoke to us about wet wipes and how damaging they are to our environment. She told us about the horrendous amount of wet wipes washed ashore when we flush them down the toilet and how they end up in the Thames. She also told us that there is plastic in wet wipes which means they are not biodegradable. She told us that we can make changes just like other countries, an example is France where they have stopped using plastic for fruits in supermarkets. We really enjoyed having her here with us and hope to see her again. By Olivia & Ardit —Y5
