Attendance at the school is high, with few absences, and we would encourage you to maintain this. Please ensure that children arrive punctually, as children start working, on guided reading activities, as soon as they enter school.
When your child is ill or needs to leave school for a visit to the doctor or dentist, please send a note or telephone the school. If your child is attending school we expect him/her to go out at playtime and lunchtime and to take part in sport/swimming sessions.
Every attendance is registered and all absences must be sanctioned by the Head Teacher following completion of the Leave of Absence form and supported by a letter of explanation. If you do not do this, the absence will be recorded as “unauthorised” in the official statistics which we are legally required to compile.
