Rooted in Faith, Growing through Learning

Y3: Palm Tree

Welcome to Y3 - Palm Tree!

The Y3 class teacher Miss Sienna Atkinson and she are also lucky to be assisted by Ms Karry Hatley-Smith and Miss Shadiyah Leigh-Ramsammy.

Please see the documents below that highlight the skills covered in Year 3 and the Term Topic web.

Homework

Homework will be set on a Tuesday and is due in the following Monday.

Children will usually be given 3 pieces of homework, each should not take longer than 20 minutes to complete. Homework will usually consist of one piece of literacy, one piece of numeracy and one piece of science or topic work.

Please also make sure you are reading with your child at least 4 times per week. For reviews, book suggestions and resources; See http://www.literacytrust.org.uk and http://www.lovereading4kids.co.uk. Children may borrow books from our class or school library. A reading book and reading diary should be brought into school every day.

Please ensure that you are practising times tables and handwriting - little and often is best!

Clothing and Sports

Please make sure that all school uniform and PE kit is clearly labelled.  Please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit on their PE days (Mondays and Fridays).

Swimming kit is required in school every Wednesday during the Spring term (unless otherwise notified).  The school policy is that if your child is well enough to be in school, they are well enough to swim.

Please encourage your child to bring a named water bottle to school every day.

Please remind your child to bring a coat every day.

Medical

Please let the school and the year group teacher know if your child has any condition requiring medication, including allergies or asthma
