  • Art for the Queen's Jubilee

    Fri 20 May 2022 Miguel & Amber - Y5

Fleur Anderson wrote to All Saints’ and other local schools to invite them to create an art piece in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We were very excited to hear that she will be presenting this to the Queen next Wednesday at Buckingham Palace.  Each class chose a decade and decided on a theme. On Friday 20th May Amber and Miguel went along with Miss Lake to Putney Library as invited by the MP Fleur Anderson to present our Queen’s Jubilee artwork from All Saints’. We were greeted by the Mayor of Wandsworth. He was very impressed by the artwork and was very good at guessing the decades! He particularly liked the 70 power flower patterns as he was wearing a flowery tie himself!  We got to meet a lot of different schools that had a lot of great art work…someone had even sewn their one! We had a photo with all the other schools waving our flags and holding our work. We had a great time except got a little drenched on the way back to school.

  • Y4 Residential - Sayers Croft

    Wed 04 May 2022

When we got on the coach we were so, so happy and excited this was our first   residential ever. When we arrived Nick our guide showed us to our cabin. We made our bed, some were better then others after that we had lunch it was jacket potato.

After lunch we went orienteering we all enjoyed it - it involved a LOT of running some had to stop and rest - we started very easy but it got a lot harder.

After orienteering we had river study then we stopped to have a play. Everyone put a lot of clay on their face and pretended to be warriors. After that we had a camp fire.

The next day we went and dressed up as Ancient Iron Age warriors and made fire with this interesting tool. It was a lot of fun and we got to go in a roundhouse. it was built 10 years ago but it felt like it was built thousands of years ago, I loved it -thanks Nick!  Then we went pond dipping I found a lot of fish and one shrimp.    Yanna and Tahlia even found a newt then Nick taught us about the life cycle of a fish. Then we went to lunch, it was pizza; after lunch we said good bye to Nick and left on the coach it was very bumpy and pretty.
