Helping Others – Supporting Charities and Good Causes
We have a long tradition of charity support at All Saints’. We aim to instil the values of compassion and caring for others among our pupils and, accordingly, organise fundraising events to benefits a whole range of causes.
Charities supported during 2016 2017 so far include:
Macmillan Cancer Support: £391.76 raised by staff and governors holding a cake sale in aid of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
Royal British Legion: £382.53 raised for the Poppy Appeal, selling hand-knitted and crocheted poppies
British Heart Foundation: an amazing £1960.90 raised by taking part in the Jump Rope for Heart sponsored skipathon.
We will, later in the year, be holding our joint All Saints’ School and Church Car Wash in aid of Christian Aid; fundraising for the Bishop of Southwark’s Lent Appeal and continuing to support the work of Humanitas, a charity which, with our help, has set up and provided resources for a much-needed school in a remote rural part of Ghana.
