On Tuesday, all of KS2 enjoyed a Virtual Reality workshop; the visits were organised to celebrate the place of technology in our world and in our learning and to enhance the science curriculum. Here is Y6’s response to the day.
Virtual Reality in Y6
In Y6 we met Stuart who introduced us to the wonderful world of VR. We began with the circulatory system of vessels and the heart. We saw inside the human body, with some facts. Then we went on to ‘visit’ the wonders of the world and explored Machu-Picchu, the Colosseum, Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal. Back to science topics and we explored the solar system, followed by the respiratory system. We got to see alveoli, bronchioles, the trachea and what our lungs would look like if we smoke.
We all really enjoyed this experience and hope others get the lucky chance as well.
