Eid is a time for communal prayers, feasting, and giving to charity, emphasizing joy and gratitude with the Muslim community. To mark the occasion, we recognised this special event for our Muslin friends and learned lots about another religion and culture. Thank you to Mr Ikhlef for helping run the assembly and teaching us more about this culture.

We have been practicing the songs hard and were able to sing with all the other students, participate in prayers and worship and learn more about Christian Aid, an organisation that looks to combat poverty in over 29 countries through many different programs. This linked with our RE unit looking at how Jesus's message has been shared through different Christian charities and organisations. Great job Year 4 for their hard work and outstanding behaviour!

In the afternoon, Michael Rosen led a session all about Shakespeare and taught them some of his poems.

Even more exciting than that, some of the class got to share their own poems with Michael and the other schools there. Of course, we then had to ask him for autographs for everyone - he even signed Tanvi’s plaster cast! Ms Sharp was just as excited as the class as he is one of her heroes!

We entered interested and left informed. We were welcomed by a rack of headphones and devices to help us along with a virtual audio guide. We started off at the war room where officials held top secret meetings. We then went to gaze in wonder at the bedrooms of the officers and Churchills. After that, we entered the interactive Churchills Museum where there were virtual activities as well as a huge queue for a telescope. You could see Winston Churchill's old school reports. Then we moved on to the marvellous room of maps. To finish, we arrived at the gift shop where we dropped off our audio guides and we saw Winston Churchill as a rubber duck. We then came out of the war rooms museum and returned to school.

They acted, sang and performed with great enthusiasm to produce something they were really proud of. It has been fantastic to see them build on their great knowledge of World War Two and we will continue this over the next couple of weeks. Thanks so much for coming!

It was truly the best way to begin the Christmas festivities! Everyone tried their best to say their lines clearly and what fabulous acting from Molly our favourite disgruntle mule and the rest of the cast! Huge thanks to the entire EY team for their hard work and commitment as well as the parents for organising the costumes and working on the children’s lines at home.

Our Saplings absolutely sparkled during the EYFS Nativity. They performed in their first Nativity which is a huge milestone. Some children have learnt several song words whilst others have learnt actions and all have been happy and confident enough to stand in front of their first audience, we are very proud of them.
