Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic visit to Putney Library, where they had the exciting opportunity to meet author Jack Meggitt-Phillips. The children were captivated by his energetic and entertaining session as he shared stories about his life as an author, his inspiration for writing and the wonderful world of his books.

It was an incredibly engaging, humorous and inspirational experience, with plenty of opportunities for the children to ask questions and discover more about the creative writing process. Jack’s enthusiasm for storytelling really brought reading and writing to life and encouraged our pupils to think creatively about their own ideas.

A huge thank you to Putney Library and Jack Meggitt-Phillips for such a memorable experience. Year 5 and 6 returned to school feeling inspired, enthusiastic and ready to get reading!
